Poses from the “Where the wild things are” animation
The poses make great references, so I cut them out from the movie and made a small collage, maybe these are helpful for other artists?
My first try on celluloid
My first try at painting on celluloid. I made the outlines with a waterproof pen, and painted the back with acrylic colors.. Made alot of mistakes, also the drawing isn't really perfect.. but well.. it's my first try.
The background is my TFT, displaying a photo I found on Flickr (hopefully under cc as I forgot who took it).

Sad Christmas
My hamster Schneeflocke died at the age of almost 2 years yesterday when we were celebrating christmas at my brothers place.. alone in the corner of her cage ![]()
Very unexpected as she had no signs of illness before..
Apart from that we had a nice time..
Nuts and Gum, together at last!
This was the christmas present for a good friend, based on a joke in a simpsons episode.

CG Animation from 25 years ago
An animation test by Disney, directed by John Lasseter in 1983. It's based on the "Where the wild things are" Books. This animation is one of the first animations using computer graphics, where backgrounds were generated using a computer.
Training progress #-7
As said, Thursday was the last training this year.. too bad the gym is closed in the holidays, but I'm ill anyway. Trained Cartwheel-Sideflip again and managed to do it much more powerful than last time (thanks Andy!). Also I got a strain again, but nothing serious..
Holidays give me a bit time to train my abdominals, biceps and ankle joints and think about what tricks I'm going to learn before Australia.

Wow, 10 already. Many Sugar Gliders this week, as I got a book about them from the public library, and they're just too cool =)

Huskies, as requested by a friend, I'm bad at drawing them but it's a good practice

Not much to tell
I was really busy.. buying presents, drawing christmas cards, making presents.. I just can't post anything because I'd risk the surprise if I did.
Also today was the last training this semester, but more of that on Saturday.
Made some prints as presents for my friends in the acrobatic team, everyone liked them.. Even though it's very difficult to shoot photos of tricks at bad light conditions, people always like them. Still there is a need to improve on indoor shooting.
I'm really happy to be in this team, it's awesome that - even though the freestyle acrobatics scene in austria is very small - such a successful team emerged!
Training progress #-8
Okay.. on Thursday Training I had bad luck again as I landed on something sharp and solid again with the same foot when trying a cartwheel-sideflip. crap. It seems everytime I want to learn a new Trick I hurt myself.
Todays training was far better, I finally managed to do a cartwheel-sideflip combo on the floor.. I can do a sideflip for ages now, but I usually make cartwheels on the other side, so it may look a bit sloppy.
Sideflip
Wallspin

Finally, more time for sketching this week. A few of them were drawn at the Comic Meeting in Vienna, where mostly "oldskool" Comic Artists, but also a few younger Artists in my age meet. Check out Raxt0rs DeviantArt page for many awesome artworks!
Some of the sketches are made with 0.1mm Fineliner. I like sketching with them as there is no way to undo something, and therefore it's faster than with pencil.

Many things went wrong with this critter.. but I learned from the mistakes.

Gerald requested me to draw a "Dragonferret", I think it came out nice.

A random bird and my pathetic try on a background.

TV Refs
Here are some screencaps I made while watching TV, maybe they're inspiring for someone?
cheeky Ferret
Just vectorized it. Also I have no idea how to color vector stuff with photoshop.

Training progress #-9
OUCH!
Okay, actually I planned to post videos today, but well.. I injured my big toe while doing a wallspin with one step on the wall.. I have no Idea if there is a name for that trick already, but it's definately cooler than a regular wallspin.
Lots of blood, my toe really hurts now, but nothing too serious, so I'll hope to be able to train again next saturday at least.
Push-up stats:
6.12: 105
7.12: 110
8.12: 105

Another FPS Artwork from an oC session yesterday

Another Brer Rabbit.. please excuse the unoriginal pose and expression, I didn't have any refs and had no idea how his anatomy looks.. I'll draw better pictures of him soon

The right one was just some circles and random lines, and something very WarnerBrother-ish came out.. weird..

Okay, this one is very old, at least 6 months.. just digged this out, it's an unfinished raccoon looking for food.
