USA Trip: 23.01
Woke up at 6 without being able to sleep anymore, stupid jetlag!
Went downstairs and discovered a HUGE breakfast buffet, so I just went for that with Jill. I must say I could get used to american breakfast, I ate 3 plates of food.. enough to skip lunch.
After that I went to Starbucks with Henrieke an a bunch of other cartoon artists, we made an artjam and I noticed that Starbucks in the U.S. lacks couches.
Had Dinner with Stephen, the guy who owns Arend Studios, and a few other people.
There was some dance with good retro music, but thanks to jetlag I was way too tired and went to bed early.

Here are by the way the sketches we did for the flight attendant. Henriekes is much better
So, after that way-too-long stay in chicago I was magically able to sleep on the plane. Completely wasted we got our luggage in one piece. Called the Hotel Shuttle Bus which was quick since the Doubletree Hotel is only 1 mile from the airport.
Met some german friends right at the entrance and picked up out AT&T phones a friend got for us in advance.
Went to Dennies for Dinner with some friends then but I was just too tired to eat, so I just went to bed.
(this is where the Hotel is located)
USA Trip: 22.01
So.. yesterday my loooong journey to the U.S. started with a (delayed) flight to Amsterdam in the evening and met up with Henrieke. After 5 hours of sleep in a really small (but awesome) hotel we went to the airport again for the flight to London. A few security checks, then onto the plane again to chicago... looong flight and they didn't have much stuff on the in-flight-entertainment system. Luckily it wasn't too full so I was able to sleep a few hours on the flight spread over 3 seats.
I also had a chat with one of the flight attends who told me about his trips to everywhere in the world and requested us to draw something into his notebook.
Sadly only Henrieke took photos and I have no CF-cardreader, so I'll post them later.
Instead, enjoy this photo of me reading the new issue of sparkle world
Also, the arrival in chicago was awesome as we had the most beautiful view on the city centre:
3 hours until the flight to San Jose, and we're looking forward to having some sleep in a real bed.
Whoops
No sketchdump last Friday.. but I simply had next to nothing to post.
In 8 days I'll be on my way to the U.S. already and there's still alot to do before. Hopefully I'll be able to post photos/sketches from there.
Friday Sketchdump #51
My resolution for this year is to draw more.

I tried to make my construction more solid on these, which resulted in weird anatomy.. I should practice more so I can finally give animating a try.
end.
