Cameroon Trip: 19.02. – 23.02.
Well, I got sick and was simply too lazy to write anything. This post just concludes the report.
If you would like to see more pictures, feel free to contact me.
Cameroon trip: 18.02.
Didn't have a hard time getting up at 3:30am as sleeping on wooden planks isn't exactly comfortable.
It was of course pitch dark ouside, so we started our trip equipped with 3 flashlights. This time only one guide went with us.
The hut was on 2800 meters, so we still had about 1300 meters to go.
One awesome thing was this, where I have no idea what you would call it in english:

That wasn't the sun, but lots of flashes and 30-second exposure. Taken at about 4:30 in the morning.
Cameroon trip: 17.02.
Got up at 6 and went to Buea, the town at the base of Mt. Cameroon where we met out guides.
We had one Guide per person, making us a group of 12 as Yaya also joined us.

View from Buea
Doesn't look at high as it is, but in fact it's 4095 meters, and this photo is taken from 1100 meters above sea level.
Cameroon trip: 16.02.
We went to the market in the morning to get some supplies for our trip to the peak of Mt. Cameroon:
Then to the Limbe Wildlife Centre.
Lots of stuff to see there:
Cameroon trip: 15.02.
Slept until 1pm and we all went to the beach.
I didn't really expect that they would have such an awesome beach there, the Sea was warm and they even had a beachvolleyball court.

We started playing and soon a few locals joined too.
After that everyone was hungry of course, so we went to a small restaurant to get some (really good) food.

Stephan, Edith, Dad, "the cook", half of Yaya, Andreas having dinner.
Cameroon trip: 14.02.
Flight to Douala was okay even though we had 1 hour delay.
The view was fantastic, especially over the Sahara.
The airport.. well.. had it's own charme:
My father, Edith and Jaja picked us up at the airport and we had a 1,5 hour drive to Limbe, partly nice roads, partly really bumpy.
Everyone except me went to a nightclub as I was desperate for some sleep after being in 5 countries in 2 days and hardly getting any sleep at all.
Cameroon trip: 13.02.
Totally tired and jetlagged I managed to pack my stuff together and went to the airport again with my brother Stephan.
After a short flight and the worst food I ever got on a plane we slept in the smallest Hotel rooms in the world. We found out once again that french people don't really care about writing stuff in english, even on an international airport.
