Didn't have a hard time getting up at 3:30am as sleeping on wooden planks isn't exactly comfortable.
It was of course pitch dark ouside, so we started our trip equipped with 3 flashlights. This time only one guide went with us.

The hut was on 2800 meters, so we still had about 1300 meters to go.
One awesome thing was this, where I have no idea what you would call it in english:

That wasn't the sun, but lots of flashes and 30-second exposure. Taken at about 4:30 in the morning.

The sunrise looked nice aswell.

The fourth and last hut before the summit at an altitude of 3870m.

Horray, we made it!

We spent only about 3 minutes there because it was so extremely stormy, you could hardly stand.

In case you want to look where I was on Google Maps, here are the coordinates.

Another view from the top.

This photo shows at least a bit how steep it was. the tiny white thing is the third hut again.
I didn't take any more photos afterwards as I was busy not stumbling down the mountain. My legs felt like rubber sausages but after a very long walk we finally made it to the car and eventually to the shower.

Got up at 6 and went to Buea, the town at the base of Mt. Cameroon where we met out guides.
We had one Guide per person, making us a group of 12 as Yaya also joined us.

View from Buea
Doesn't look at high as it is, but in fact it's 4095 meters, and this photo is taken from 1100 meters above sea level.

First we had a 3-hour walk through the forest. This was the first hut where we took a short lunch break.

Also it was foggy.

Next part was grasslands, the black part was burned down by intent. I didn't find out why yet.

My father, Stephen (our guide), Stephan, Johannes, Andi, Yaya

Nice views, but due to fog always very limited..

Like on another planet...

We finally made it to the third hut at about 2pm. It was VERY exhausting, and you can't really see on the photos how steep it was.
We met a few other hikers from france, had a small dinner and went to bed early as we had to get up at 3:50am the next morning.

Forgot the name of this species

After that we went to the Bifunde Centre where I finally had some Internnet access and posted the last 2 entries. Also we had some drinks together.

Douala International Airport

My father, Edith and Jaja picked us up at the airport and we had a 1,5 hour drive to Limbe, partly nice roads, partly really bumpy.
Everyone except me went to a nightclub as I was desperate for some sleep after being in 5 countries in 2 days and hardly getting any sleep at all.
