I’m alive
Didn't update quite a while due to travelling and other things I had to do. Anyway, here's something we did in todays training with my new camcorder which is capable of taking slow-motion videos
More Gainer Flash
So, I'm still struggling with the Gainer Flash, but today I made really good ones. Too bad I have no Videos, but I have at least a photo to prove it! The leg is (almost stretched), so it's a flashkick.

Almost how a gainer flash is meant to be! (thanks Gerald for taking the photo)
Path of life
No video of me this time, I trained some new tricks today, but nothing exceptionally cool since they were lacking good height.. I guess it was because I did sports everyday the past week in the holidays.
Anyway, check out this awesome acrobatics Video by Cionn, the guy who founded our acrobatics team, CAM (creative acrobatic movements). What he does there is freerunning, a mix between parkour moves and acrobatics.
Todays training..
..was awesome!
I finally managed to do the gainer flash!! (sloppy but a good start)
Training stuff
It has been ages since I took my Camera to the acrobatic training, so here are 2 of the clips I made today:
This is a wallspin, with 1 step on the wall before doing it.. looks less spectacular than it feels, sadly.
The usual sideflip.
Training progress #-7
As said, Thursday was the last training this year.. too bad the gym is closed in the holidays, but I'm ill anyway. Trained Cartwheel-Sideflip again and managed to do it much more powerful than last time (thanks Andy!). Also I got a strain again, but nothing serious..
Holidays give me a bit time to train my abdominals, biceps and ankle joints and think about what tricks I'm going to learn before Australia.
Push-Ups:
16.12.: 110
17.12.: 140
18.12.: 105
19.12.: 150
20.12.: 120
21.12.: 130
22.12.: 145
Total: 900 (5085 to go)
Not much to tell
I was really busy.. buying presents, drawing christmas cards, making presents.. I just can't post anything because I'd risk the surprise if I did.
Also today was the last training this semester, but more of that on Saturday.
Made some prints as presents for my friends in the acrobatic team, everyone liked them.. Even though it's very difficult to shoot photos of tricks at bad light conditions, people always like them. Still there is a need to improve on indoor shooting.
I'm really happy to be in this team, it's awesome that - even though the freestyle acrobatics scene in austria is very small - such a successful team emerged!
Training progress #-8
Okay.. on Thursday Training I had bad luck again as I landed on something sharp and solid again with the same foot when trying a cartwheel-sideflip. crap. It seems everytime I want to learn a new Trick I hurt myself.
Todays training was far better, I finally managed to do a cartwheel-sideflip combo on the floor.. I can do a sideflip for ages now, but I usually make cartwheels on the other side, so it may look a bit sloppy.
Sideflip
Wallspin
Push-Ups:
09.12.: 100
10.12.: 100
11.12.: 105
12.12.: 110
13.12.: 65
14.12.: 110
15.12.: 110
Total: 1015 (5985 to go)
Training progress #-9
OUCH!
Okay, actually I planned to post videos today, but well.. I injured my big toe while doing a wallspin with one step on the wall.. I have no Idea if there is a name for that trick already, but it's definately cooler than a regular wallspin.
Lots of blood, my toe really hurts now, but nothing too serious, so I'll hope to be able to train again next saturday at least.
Push-up stats:
6.12: 105
7.12: 110
8.12: 105
6780 to go
Enough!
Okay, I really need to find a way to improve faster at acrobatics. Since EF, I totally focused on drawing, and totally disregarded tricking. But when I'm in Australia, I want to trick with all the people there as it's summer when I'm there and there is a big tricking community (compared to Austria at least)
So, I had the idea to just post my progress every Saturday, along with a photo/video of a new trick I learned, similar to the Sketchdump. The Sketchdump really required me to draw at least a few sketches every week, so I hope this works with tricking too
Also I'll train tricking-related muscles everyday now and also play at least a few rounds of DDR, as it's probably the funniest exercise for jump power.
Just for the fun, I'll do at least 7000 push-ups until Australia.
give me a minute..
only 6910 left to do now
