Here’s the first page of sketches of 2010. Nothing especially good, but it’s the first time I’ve got the chance to draw on a Wacom Cintiq (which is pretty awesome). Takes a while to get used to though. (Also I was drunk )

Thylacine and Lemur spotted around Vienna

Amazing! Eyewitnesses have reported sightings of a Thylacine and a Lemur at the Jubiläumswarte in Vienna. While there are hundreds of sightings of the believed-to-be-extinct Thylacine in Australia these are the first from Austria. They are said to be not dangerous and are likely to interact with children.

Prof. Hans Sauerkraut

Zoology expert Prof. Hans Sauerkraut explains: “While Lemurs are generally not harmful to humans, little is known about Thylacines. My advice is to stay at home until situation resolves.”

I didn’t post anything in a while, so here are a few photos of Tyler Thylacine. I redid quite a few things, like new hair, new nose, hew hands and feet, more padding and many little things. It’s not me wearing it since I took the photos.

When Tobi, me and another friend went photographing last week, we came across this critter in the inner city, he goes by the name Tyler.

He goes by the name Tyler and is a Tasmanian Tiger

Peoples reactions were fun

Also kids liked Tyler alot

This is where kids explain that it’s unwise to drink fountain water.

He obviously likes Starbucks.

Once again, I hardly drew anything the entire week, but yesterday I gave uStream a try. I sat there for about 3 hours and drew what people requested. It was lot’s of fun and gets me to draw at least, so I guess I’ll do that more often!
So here are some of the results:

Some wondered why I didn’t post a Sketchdump for over a month. The answer is simple: I had tons of assignments to do in december, had to get christmas presents + do a ton of christmas cards, so not much time for sketching.
This is already the #50, quite alot to me.. I really made an improvement since I started, but there’s still much left to learn.

This is a funny meme where you have to draw expressions for (imprecise) words

This was an earlier Idea for a christmas card, but I went for something else as I basically did this last year already

Here we go!

I drew most of these in Starbucks, where I hoped to meet some nice girls, but instead there were only mothers with their crying babys.

Ferret! I think I cleaned this sketch up 3 times. still some errors which I’m too lazy to fix. (Well maybe later.. they’re fatal)

I finally finished the Thylacine Sculpture I started before I went to Australia.. unfortunately he lost a leg in the oven for whatever reason.

After fixing that with a bit of glue he looked like this:

Next step is going over it with sandpaper and then painting with acrylics.

Sculpey Thylacine

So this is what I’m working on for a week already, a Tasmanian Tiger Sculpture!
It takes very long because I never sculpted before, but Super Sculpey is awesome stuff and it’s really fun to work with it!

This is what it looks like at the Moment, I’d say it’s about 70% done.

At first I made a skeleton out of aluminium sticks and modeling clay and baked it

Modeled the body out of aluminium so I won’t waste too much sculpey on it
