Movie World
Yesterday: Lots of Laserforce, but no photos.. battery dead. Still it was very fun to play with Michael and his friends. Also the Arena was alot better than the one in Sydney.
Today Michael, Dash and me got up early and went to the Warner Brothers Movie World on Gold Coast.
It was really awesome!
We have been to the following Attractions:
- Batwing Spaceshot
- Batman Adventure
- Police Academy Stunt Show
- Shrek 4D Adventure
- Road Runnter Rollercoaster
- Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster
- Lethal Weapon Rollercoaster (4 Times.. awesome!!)
- Wild West Falls
Superman Rollercoaster was sadly closed..
Other Photos:
Lone Pine
On Monday, Michael showed me around in the Brisbane Suburbs, and to some Mountain where you could see all over Brisbane. Also spotted some wild kangaroos. For some reason, the photos are missing (argh).
On Tuesday, we went to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in the morning, to be there before all the Japanese Tourists are.

Not only Koalas but also lots of Kangaroos there
After that, we went to the Brisbane Museum, sadly they didn't have the animatronic tasmanian Tiger anymore.. still it was nice and interresting.
Brisbane
Today was my last day in Sydney for a while.. slept until 10, then walked around in Newtown a bit.

Found another great Artstore, they're everywhere!

Later, back at Bonnies House, some friends of her showed up and started making awesome music. They told me that they actually got the drums from a dumpster. They sounded great though.

and that's Eliza (who lives in the same House), me and Bonnie!
thanks for hosting me!
Later, Nathan picked up Micheal (my host in Brisbane) and me and took us to the Airport, had a nice flight.
Those Virgin Blue Flights have live satellite TV with 20 channels on every plane, amazing!
Getting some sleep now and looking forward to a having good time in Brisbane.
Party
After having some sleep, I explored the area around my hosts house a bit, and found this:

They sell everything for sculpting and casting, and it's the second store that I found that sells Super Sculpey. There are specialzed shops everywhere, I really like this about Sydney.

The central station looks for some reason very similar to the one in Zürich.
Met up with Michael later, who will host me in Brisbane yesterday, going to a friend of him who lives near Bondi Beach.
Nathan took us to a party on the north shore, which was really awesome! Met lots of great people and had alot of fun. I got the chance to try out the Canon EF 17-55mm f2.8 and the EF70-300 f4-5.6 lenses, they're great!
The next day we went to play Laserforce, which was also fun, even though I need some practice because I never played something like this before (I think there isn't even anything like this in Austria). After it we had lunch and then I went to my hosts apartment again, looking into "Goulds Bookstore" on my way there, which is a huge Store that sells all kinds of books. I hope I'll have enough time tomorrow to look around a bit more.
Wildlife World
After Taronga Zoo I was finally able to meet my host and get some sleep at last!

The next day found a Spar Store (didn't know they had them in Australia too).
Had breakfast at Subway, then headed to the Sydney Wildlife World.

After Wildlife World, it started to rain heavily, so I just got into the next Starbucks.
I met Romana there, a nice Girl from Switzerland. We had a nice chat and met later at Woolworth.

Starbucks at circular Quay. They really look the same everywhere.

Found a photography Store and ended up buying this lens, because it was much cheaper than in Austria

While exploring the Rocks, the oldest part of Sydney, I found a really nice Art store.
I didn't buy anything though, maybe I'll go there when I'm in Sydney again.

I met Romana and a korean friend of her (I'm bad at remembering names) at Woolworth, shopping for dinner. After eating at the Youth Hostel, Romana had to catch the bus and I also went to my Host again, getting some sleep.
Arrived!
Soo. I'm alive!

Pointless Photo.
The first flight was quite okay, the fact that they played Ratatouille made up for not being able to sleep much.
Also, they had an "Austrian Techno Channel" where "DJ BBS" (probably the austrian Version of BBF) played totally awesome Music (Dance, Techno, Hardstyle, Trance, even Jumpstyle). I listened to this channel for like.. 5 hours.

A bit of sketching to kill time.. hopefully I'll be able to draw better Kangaroos when I'm back.

Stop in Bangkok was boring, even though the airpost looks nice.
Second flight was.. boring.. and I didn't sleep at all.
Arrived in Sydney at 6:30 am, met a nice guy from Norway who also didn't know what to do.
I just bought a 1-day ticket for the public transport and ended up in the Toronga Zoo, which is where I'm posting this from.
And I bet I'm the first one to take a photo of this:

Departing
Departing right now
Everything ran fine so far, I only had to empty 2 cans of red bull at the security check because I wasn't allowed to take them in.
More bad news
Man, I hope I'll have some better things to report of when I'm in Australia..
I couldn't make it to the event with Talla 2XLC.. even though I promised it to Tabbie (one of my best friends ever), I was too late to catch the Bus to Bratislava.
Makes me feel really bad.
The other thing is, my other (and now only) Hamster Robin has a Tumor.. discovered it yesterday, been to the vet today. There is nothing I could do about it, and that means he won't be there anymore when I come back from Australia.
The more or less good news is, that the vet said that Max most probably had a cardiac defect, and even if I discovered it earlier, I couldn't have done anything anyway.
Apart from that, I have loads of stress with packing for Australia and a cold.
Friday Sketchdump #10
Wow, 10 already. Many Sugar Gliders this week, as I got a book about them from the public library, and they're just too cool =)
